One of the other locations was completely destroyed by fire. However, this did not deter Rev. Davis from continuing on with her vision. Through many trials and tribulations, she proved that she had the faith and God had the power. Every church anniversary brought a new location and as time passed by, Trinity continued to add new faces, building bridges, bridges of Christian love in the hearts and minds of everyone. The church has grown, our auxiliaries have expanded, and our faith has been renewed.
In the year 1988, the groundbreaking for our new church began. Trinity had the privilege to be the first black church to receive an excessive amount from one of Chicago’s renowned Banks to build a church. In June 1989, the Trinity members rolled up to the new location of Trinity at 9600 South Vincennes in 8 Cadillac limousines and a Rolls Royce. In 2002, we had the privilege of burning our mortgage. Today see the vision of our late founder, Dr. Evelyn Davis in existence. Also see a new generation on the horizon seizing fresh spiritual opportunities to share God’s love anew!
